Janis G. Escamilla
Janis G. Escamilla founded Janis Escamilla Supported Living Services in 2006 with a single commitment: helping adults with developmental disabilities live independently in their own homes throughout Placerville and El Dorado County.
With nearly two decades of hands-on experience in developmental services, Janis has built an organization known for its compassionate, person-centered approach. She and her team understand that true independence means different things to different people — and work alongside each individual to achieve the life they choose.
Before founding the company, Janis spent years working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities, gaining deep insight into the challenges families face and the support systems that make a real difference. This firsthand experience shaped her philosophy: every person deserves dignity, choice, and the opportunity to thrive in their own home.
Janis remains actively involved in the day-to-day operations, personally overseeing care plans, mentoring staff, and maintaining relationships with the families she serves. Her dedication has made the organization a trusted name in El Dorado County's developmental services community.
